Wattisham Airfield is a British Army airfield and barracks located near the village of Wattisham in Suffolk, England. It is home to the Army Air Corps ' Apache attack helicopter force. A helicopter repair facility provided by 7 Aviation Support Battalion, REME and 132 Aviation Supply Squadron, RLC is also based at the airfield.

Wattisham started life as an RAF bomber base, but in the post-war period became Suffolk's premier fighter base. During its near 50¬year period in this role it saw all the main RAF fighter types in residence - Meteor, Hunter, Javelin, Lightning and, finally, Phantom. The RAF finally departed Wattisham on October 31 1992.

Built in 1938 as a medium bomber station with a grass airfield, Wattisham was occupied by the RAF until handed over to the Eighth Air Force in September 1942. The 68th Observation Group was the first American unit to occupy the station from October to December 1942, equipped with P-39s. Intended to be improved in 1943 with three concrete.
