09. March 2015 The view over Lativa - Jurmala Observation Tower After a day of strolling around in the beautiful traditional Jurmala, a coast town in Latvia just half an hour from Riga, we finally reached Dzintaru Mezapark with its oberservation tower.

Located within easy reach of the Latvian capital, Jurmala has been famed for its beautiful beaches and spas for decades. In fact, it is an incredibly popular destination in its own right despite its proximity to Riga. A little bit further to the west of Jurmala lies Kemeri National Park and the town of Kemeri.

The height of the tower is 36,5m and the upper platform guarantees the view over the sea, the city of Jurmala and even the towers and high buildings of Riga. The structure of the observation tower is made of galvanized metal profiles, pine wood trusses treated with protective coats and industrial produced metallic grids which help the integration with the surrounding environment.
